Vines between 550 and 600 m asl, the vineyard faces south-west and the soil is sandy with clayey parts. The area is ideal for Pinot Noir as the sun, not too hot, occurs in the afternoon hours. Fermentation in steel and partly in wood with 10-day maceration on the skins and subsequent malolactic fermentation in barrels. Maturation in French oak barrels for a period of 16 months. Acclaimed winner of the 2012 Italian Pinot Noir competition 2013, the "Ludwig" impresses with its strong, intense and vibrant ruby color. Ripe fruits of cherries and plums, spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves make the elegant bouquet very complex and multifaceted but at the same time harmonious and inviting. On the palate the Ludwig emanates all its elegance, its gentle tannins, the hint of spice and the mineral equlibrata that blend in a fresh and persistent game of aromas.
