Barrua Agripunica wine is sold by the Agripunica company, one of the most renowned in the Sardinian territory. The quality of the blend combined with the excellent method of production guaranteed it the IGP Isola dei Nuraghi certification. The soil of Sulcis, dry, deep and stony, is excellent for the cultivation of cordon vineyards. As a base the native Sardinian grape is used, with a minimum addition of French grapes which enrich the wine. During the harvest, between September and October, only the best grapes are selected and cut manually. The resulting must is left to macerate between 25 and 30 ° C for about 15 days and sees continuous pumping over, which keeps the yeasts in suspension. Malolactic fermentation ends with racking in barriques, small barrels in French oak, for 18 months. Once bottled, it spends 12 months in the cellar before it goes on sale. The Barrua has a ruby red color, sometimes orange. The aroma has notes of berries, licorice, black cherry and myrtle on the finish. Sage and myrtle are combined with wild berries and white pepper, thanks to the refinement in oak wood. The tannins, soft and delicate, immediately turn off the acidity and round off the taste, conquering the palate. The Barrua is a refined and elegant proposal that will make your lunch superb. It goes well with red meats or first courses based on meat sauce and aged cheeses. The price of the Barrua is suitable for all needs by combining quality with affordable costs.
