Poggio all'Oro Brunello di Montalcino Banfi 2010 DOCG Reserve - In the famous Castello Banfi estate, where traditional methods blend carefully with modern technology, there is a vineyard known as La Pieve from which this great wine originates, produced only in excellent years (first year of production 1985) by meticulously selecting the grapes harvested. It is here that, thanks to almost perfect climatic conditions, soil and sun exposure, the much-celebrated Brunello reaches its greatness. With its intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections and warm nuances and slightly orange on the edge, which take over after a long aging. It stands out for its intense, enveloping, fruity and spicy aroma with hints of tobacco and chocolate. Full, austere, velvety and rightly tannic, the flavor goes superbly with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
