Volpe Pasini

A centuries-old farm in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, that of Volpe Pasini has always been linked to wine production, to the point that the first documents that testify to the winemaking activity on the estate date back to the seventeenth century. It is since the seventies that, however, leaving the logic that saw wine as a product to be sold in bulk in demijohn, the Volpe Pasini company was among the first to establish itself as one of the reference wineries in the North-East of Italy. , starting to bottle their own wines and thus making their elegance and refinement known not only within the borders of the Peninsula, but throughout the world. Since then, growth has been unstoppable, and today Volpe Pasini represents one of the most prestigious wineries not only in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area, but in the whole of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The hectares of vineyards owned are currently over fifty, and at an average altitude of 160 meters above sea level, on soils rich in sandstone marl, both white grape and red grape varieties are grown. We are on the hills of Prepotto and Togliano, and it is here where the native grapes of Ribolla Gialla, Friulano and Refosco dal peduncolo rosso grow side by side with the international varieties of chardonnay, sauvignon, cabernet, pinot grigio and pinot bianco. Pure and excellent clusters are transformed into wines which, from harvest to harvest, manage to maintain levels of absolute excellence, proving to be perfectly recognizable thanks to a total respect for those that are the most intrinsic and natural characteristics of the fruit. Pursuing originality, longevity and pleasantness, respecting what has always been the rigid company philosophy, those labeled "Volpe Pasini" are among the best Friulian wines, expression of a great and unparalleled terroir, capable of offering oenological satisfactions like few other territories I am able to do.
