Emidio Pepe Cerasuolo D'Abruzzo 2015

The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo of Emidio pepper was born in Torano Nuovo; we are in the province of Teramo, in the historic Pepe family company. Emidio has been harvesting for over 50 years and this experience has transferred her to her daughters Daniela and Sofia and to her niece Chiara. A story that has contributed to making the Pepe brand the symbol of a territorial and long-lived expression, natural and not very invasive where biodynamics has been studied, theorized and applied even before it was certified by an institutional stamp. And it is thanks to this balance achieved in the vineyard that Emidio is able to produce great wines, such as Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo; an authentic, sincere and expressive wine. With tones of cherry, pomegranate and rose, without forgetting an unmistakable balsamic accent. An inviting wine from the color, claret pink, able to refer to a floral delicacy and a gentle freshness, soft balanced at best by an interesting structure and a warm sensation on the finish. The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo by Emidio Pepe is a versatile wine for pairing, based on Montepulciano, which is aged in cement without filtration.
