Castello della Sala's Umbria white IGT "Cervaro della Sala" is one of the best known and considered Italian white wines. The name has noble origins, the Monaldeschi della Cervara are in fact the owners of the enchanting castle in the center of the vineyards in Terni, in Umbria. Marketed for the first time in the late 1980s, it is a blend of Chardonnay and Grechetto , one of the most typical blends in the area. It refines a year and a half, between barriques and bottle , obtaining an elegance and a balance between freshness and really enviable softness. Intense straw yellow with golden reflections, the nose is fascinating, with sensations of honey, flint and shades of chamomile. The flavor is striking on the palate, a sip of Mediterranean that distinguishes this excellence. The freshness is also important, accompanied by a citrus and tropical fruit scents. Vanilla and slightly buttery notes close a very broad taste. Unforgettable.
