The Bollinger Special Cuvée is a champagne produced in the area around Reims, in the Marne Valley. In 165 hectares of vineyards there are numerous wine productions such as Chardonnay, Cuis, Pinot Meunier in Champvoisy and finally Pinot Noir. The Bollinger Special Cuvée is presented as "Brut sans année", a name that dates back to its date of birth that can be dated between the 19th and 20th centuries. It was renamed only later by Wiliam Folks under the name of Special Cuvée. A milestone in the French wine tradition, the blend sees vintage wines assembled with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. 85% of the vineyards derive from the Grand cru and Premier crus, a French expression used to designate the lands from which the best qualities of wines are born. Before going on sale the Bollinger Special Cuvèe is refined on the lees for at least 3 years, while the maturation takes place in the cellar in oak barrels lasts more than twice the provisions of the Denomination Champagne. The Bollinger Special Cuvée stands out for its refined straw-yellow color from which the unmistakable perlage emerges. In the eyes it appears decisive, treading the shades of the black vineyards. The nose is complex and ample with an aromatic and persuasive note.
