Veneto

Veneto

North-eastern region, wet for almost 200 km from the Adriatic Sea. Over half a part of the territory is flat (56%), 29% mountainous and 15% hilly.

The highest point is reached by the Marmolada (3.342 meters), located in the Dolomites on the border with Trentino-Alto Adige. In Veneto the two longest rivers of Italy flow: the Po, which marks most of the border with Emilia-Romagna and the Adige; also the Piave and the Brenta reach a considerable length. The eastern part of Lake Garda belongs to Veneto.
