Sardegna

Sardinia is one of the two island regions and is the third largest, to the west it is bathed by the Sardinian Sea, on all the other slopes from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The territory is mainly hilly (68%), while it is flat at 18% and mountainous only at 14%.

The coasts are just over 1,800 kilometers long, as well as the main island there are other fairly extensive ones, such as the islands of Sant'Antioco and San Pietro in the south-west and the island Asinara in the north-west, respectively in the fourth, sixth and seventh place in the national ranking. The highest peak is Punta La Marmora (1,834 meters), in the Gennargentu Mountains; the Tirso, with its 150 km, is the longest river.
