South of Sirmione , on the southern side of Lake Garda, Lugana Pievecroce di Costaripa is born . Produced in purity from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes , part of the must then ferments in oak barrels at a controlled temperature. The final result is a straw-colored wine with green highlights but which tends to go golden with aging. The intensity of the olfactory bouquet is good with not too intrusive aromas of ripe pear and apple. Freshness and flavor open to the palate revealing a more than satisfactory structure. Good persistence.
