Moscato Giallo is one of the oldest vines in the world. From its area of origin, Asia Minor, it was spread by the Romans throughout their empire. Thus the Moscato Giallo arrived over 2000 years ago in the South Tyrol area, where since the Middle Ages it has been called " Goldmuskateller " (golden Muscat).
The Moscato Giallo vine is very demanding, only in particularly hot areas can the grapes develop their full aroma of muscat. Moscato Giallo di Cortaccia is an intense wine, with a dense fruit and a fresh and lively acidity.
