Grillesino Nàcchero Cigliegiolo 2018

The origins of Ciliegiolo are still uncertain: while some argue
that it was imported by pilgrims returning from the Sanctuary of
Santiago de Compostella in Spain (hence the other name of “cieliegiolo
of Spain ") others consider it to be that" sweet Ciliegiolo "described
from Soderini in the seventeenth century and therefore of absolutely autochthonous origin.
Cultivated in the Maremma for over 170 years, Ciliegiolo finds its own here
ideal habiat.The name derives from the word "cherry" but probably
the assonance is due more to the shape of the grape (large and very red) more
that to the cherry scents that can be found in the wine that if
gets it. Given the low acidity, the pure Ciliegiolo wines are
extremely rare in Italy, despite its marked characteristics
of fruit and the important alcohol content: the Ciliegiolo del Grillesino rereads
this variety makes it a real tribute to the pleasant fruitiness:
easy to drink it is an extremely versatile wine that can be
also served fresh to accompany the classic summer dishes.
