Gaja Barbaresco Sorì Tildin 2014

2013 is the first vintage from which Sorì Tildin changes its name from Nebbiolo doc to Barbaresco. Produced with Nebbiolo grapes produced from the "Sorì Tildin" vineyard in Barbaresco. This vineyard takes its name from the dialectal term "Sorì", which in Piedmontese indicates the summit of a hill facing South and "Tildin", nickname given to Clotilde Rey, grandmother of Angelo Gaja. A wine of great elegance and finesse, with an intense purple-red color, it presents itself on the nose with a fine and complex bouquet, with fruity aromas of blackberry and wild berries, red fruit jam and hints of coffee, licorice, spices and dried fruit. With a velvety, warm and soft taste, with fine and elegant tannins that give it nobility and great structure, it goes perfectly with grilled red meats, game, preparations with the famous White Truffle of Alba and aged cheeses.
